Welcome to the LTPA Welcome to the Lake Travis Powerboat Association (LTPA). Since 1992 our primary goal has been to promote powerboat safety, boater education on Lake Travis. Lake Travis is located just a short drive west of Austin, Texas in the beautiful Central Texas Hill Country. Additionally, we continuously contribute to various selected charities in the area. It is tradition for our association to be recognized as a charitable organization. In previous years, we have made substantial donations to The Sunshine Kids, Central Texas SPCA, the Jack Carmody Memorial Scholarship Fund, the 9-11 Disaster fund, Blue & Brown Santa, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and Travis County Calf Scramble. The 2009 season promises to be another year of fun for our members. There is still plenty of water in the lake to have fun. We are planning on six poker runs and a year end Halloween Toga party for this year (Can't you just hear John Belushi chanting: "Toga, Toga, Toga..."?). To make our events more enjoyable with less boat traffic on the lake, our events have been scheduled so they do not interfere with holidays of other major events around town. Your membership entitles you to various discounts on fuel and many marine supplies through our member marinas, retailers and suppliers. Here's to a safe and rewarding summer for all of us! Sincerely,
